This pattern is available to active Cashmerette Club members only. This is the PDF pattern for February 2023 and includes sizes 0-32.

Your new go-to layering piece is here! The Murcot is a fully lined puffer vest sewing pattern with bust-friendly princess seams, a cozy inner batting layer, standing collar, snap closures, and optional puffy welt pockets. Included in the pattern are two quilting templates, or get creative and design your own.

0-16 and 12-32; includes 33-62” bust and 35-62" hip. Find your size in seconds using our .

RECOMMENDED FABRIC

Main fabric: Light- to mid-weight non-stretch woven fabric such as cotton, woven polyester, or nylon

Lining: Lightweight non-stretch fabric

Batting: High loft batting approximately ½” thick, such as 6 oz polyester batting, Quilters Dream Puff, or wool (standard cotton batting will not provide enough loft for the puffer look)

A lot of craft stores sell pre-packaged batting by quilt size. All sizes of the Murcot will fit on a twin/single sized length of batting or larger.

NOTIONS

Universal needle, thread, set of 8 snaps 1/2" (12 mm) diameter.

TOOLS

Tailor’s chalk, point turner, tailor’s ham or rolled up towel, snap setting tool, spray fabric adhesive (optional)
